About The Chic Chef

Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I started cooking from the age of 5 because growing up it was like a family tradition when it came to cooking. I had two loves, cooking and dancing, dancing took over and I fell in love with it. I Loved every moment until I had an accident teaching a class. So I was down and out and needed to fill up my time till I recovered. So I took up my second love, cooking and the journey fully began in 2011.

I studied culinary arts and worked at some top hotels and restaurants. I Studied more in 2015 this time focusing on pastry and there my love for this art truly cemented itself. From working in a top hotel to one of the best chocolate factories, it was my peace. I Also worked on cruise ships and all this experience and more to come has and is making me into the best version of a chef I can be representing my country.

Inspiration comes from those around me and I try to find ways to express it in my creations with that African fusion.
The chic chef came about when I not only wanted to be known as a chef but one with class and with my own type of style that sets me apart from everyone else . What makes me different is that I don`t hesitate trying something new and failing because from failure you learn how to get better.

Expect more afro-fusions of your classic favourites and some of my own creations.

Honestly the future is filled with endless opportunities, wherever we can bring joy with food, we shall be there.
